Psychotherapy 

As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Ashley provides virtual psychotherapy sessions for managing anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, adjustment to life transitions, stress, and eating disorders.  Ashley provides a warm, supportive environment for self-exploration and growth.

Nutrition Evaluation and Medical Nutrition Therapy

As a Licensed Dietitian, Nutritionist, Ashley provides virtual nutrition evaluation and medical nutrition therapy for conditions such as Overweight and Obesity, Diabetes, Prediabetes, Gestational Diabetes, Hyperlipidemia, GERD, Fatty Liver Disease, and more.  Ashley works collaboratively with clients to explore sustainable and balanced lifestyle approaches to improve quality of life, improve management of current medical condition(s), and reduce risk of chronic disease. 

*Ashley Barrient is in network with BCBS PPO & Choice plans for both psychotherapy and medical nutrition therapy services.

Additional Services 

Ashley provides additional services for the promotion of health and wellness.  Ashley provides corporate consultation services, delivers presentations for various speaking engagements, and facilitates interactive nutrition related experiences for workshops and seminars.  

My Approach

Approach

Ashley's approach to care is one that recognizes the client as an expert of his/her/their own life and experience.  Services provided are collaborative in nature, and the client-counselor relationship is of utmost importance in achieving meaningful work together. 

For psychotherapy, Ashley provides evidence-based care and draws in therapeutic interventions of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). In addition, she provides psychoeducation and engages in skill building when appropriate. 

 

For nutrition sessions, Ashley provides evidence-based care and practices from a strengths-based approach, drawing in Motivational Interviewing when appropriate.  Ashley supports clients in exploring sustainable lifestyle choices that align with their personal goals and values.  Sessions often include collaborative exploration of strategies to navigate nutrition related challenges and to overcome barriers to living a full life.
